Brayden's Webloe

Brayden received his webloe award last week. He is almost a Boy Scout!

He is growing up too fast.
Brayden was so excited because he was chosen to be part of a flag retirement or "flag burning."
He thought that was pretty cool.
It was a first time for me to see a flag burning also it was kinda emotional, yet neat it sure makes you feel good to be part of a free country and im grateful to all those who serve my country to help keep me safe.

Brandon and Rachel took us down to the dino. museum at thanksgiving point last week and we had so much fun. they played with puzzles, playing in water. The kids had such a great time, thank you.

Thanksgiving point cont.

After the Dinosaur museum we went down and walked through part of the garden and let kids play in the mazes and in the water we had so much fun. Thanks Brandon and Rachel for a great time!

Brayden's Lamb (Fair)

Once again Brayden sold his lamb at the fair this year. He had a really good looking lamb we were sad to see it go.

Brayden bought himself a cowboy hat and he thought he was pretty cool. (He did look handsome it though, but im a little prejudice)

Brecken, Brailee, and Shiloh dressed up as fairies they were so cute!

Update on Brailee

I just wanted to give an update on Brailee and they arranged my app. so we could see the specialist today instead of Aug. 16th and the guy is real positive about the situation and we caught it early enough that it should be correctable and that there is nothing serious to worry about. So that makes me feel better and we have to get a new prescription in the left eye and then start from there on getting her to wear them, so that relieves me. Thanks everyone for all your prayers. July 31st

Update on the glasses.....ITS NOT HAPPENING!

This is going to be a very, very long process. We have had the glasses 2 days now and she will not put them on. Today Robert and I got them on and tried to get her to look at a book so I could take a pic. That's as long as they lasted, then they were off. And we will be down fixing them tomarrow she has already bent the one side ripping them off her head, so they are crooked.

Brayden and Brecken ridding on a float in the Morgan Parade Saturday, while Brailee and Shiloh we catching candy. I also ran my 1st Half Marathon Saturday morning and that was a experience all on it's own. I truely didn't believe I would make it but I did and I was so proud of myself. It took me 2 hours and 28 minutes to complete which is good for my first time I would say. Today (sunday) I can hardly move or walk, not sure WHY we torture ourselves.?

ok this pic is upside down sorry.

This is Brayden's back after he got home from a Father and Son's outing down by the river he has what I assume are a millon misquito bits all over his back and shoulders he says they itch like crazy, ive been putting benadryl on but they still itch. Poor kid.

That sum's up our weekend. Now we prepare for the fair this week and Brayden will be showing a lamb so it will be a fairly busy week ill post more next week.

Our Trip to Escalante

On our way!!!
We stopped at a little park to get out and stretch on our way down and they had all the good ole toy's we played on as kids, oh how I miss those days. I tried this one and got sick "real" quick. Im not as young as I once was.

Brayden was playing in a stream in capitol reef and heard a noise and looked down and saw this snake that had grabbed this frog and it was trying to eat it. I would say the frog is a little too big, but I guess the snake doesn't think so.

I have a hard time figuring out how to get more than one pic. on at a time so I have continued like four diffrent segments so look at the end of my blog where it says older post and keep looking threw to see more pic.

more vac pic.

Brayden trying out the pioneer plow. This pic below is a pic of a vine that was brought here to america years ago we thought it was a tree and the kids use to could climb and play on it but it has broken apart so they are trying to save it. It looks to have some new growth growing on it so they are trying to preserve it. My kids were bumbed they could climb all over it again.

Playing horseshoes and fishing again!

Escalante cont.

This is a rock on the trail up to calf creek falls.
Kids fishin with Grandpa.

Waterfall in Escalante park the kids loved to play in the water it wasn't very deep, unfortuantely we went after one of the rain storms and the water was a little swifter and not as fun but the kids's didn't mind.

Robert and Brandon trying to swim up into the fall's the current was so swift they couldn't make it into the center.

Trip to Escalante con.

Brandon and Brayden were caught on the same fish with two diffrent poles that was pretty cool.

Calf Creek Fall's in Escalante we hiked up about 3 miles in to a beautiful waterfall and the kids were able to play in it. The water was a bit cold but it was a lot of fun.

The kids had tons of fun swimming at the camp place.

Brailee's check up

Oh what a summer it has been. I took Brailee in for her 2 year check up today and I feel overwhelmed I've been given tons of information I am trying to register about stuff I know nothing about. She is healthy and I thank the lord for that she is growing and is in the 5% of her height and weight she is very petite. On the other hand the bad news. It was a normal check up but like in the past I questioned her droopy eye that all of us have thought was normal, the Dr.'s kept telling me it was cuz she favored that side when she was born and laid on that side when she slept. Today they actually did something about it and we found out Brailee can not see out of her left eye. So they sent us to a opthamologist or however you spell it and they dialated her eyes and checked them out and he said sure enough she can not see anything other than a blurr out of it, if she could see that right now. Her right eye is very far sided he said so as of right now we had her fitted for glasses which will be very thick and funny looking im sure, and later they will have to patch her right eye to get the left eye to start working. He said we were "very" lucky to found it now if she would of been older like 8 or so before they found it she very well would never have been able to see out of the left eye cuz I guess the brain shuts down and quits working. The Dr. Is very positive that this will correct itself although she will have to wear glasses the rest of her life or contacts.
Her pediatrician was concerned about a possible tumor behind the eye although he didn't want me to get upset in case it was nothing (which you don't say to me) so we talked about it and I will take her in to get a second opinion just to make sure. I wonder her attitude and crying and screaming could steam from not feeling good they said possible but they can't be sure. They did say her right I is under a lot of stress cuz its doing all the work. So anyway that is all I know as of right now I will keep everyone posted and hope for the best.
P.S. I would post pictures from my wonderful trip down south but Robert has taken my camera to a scout overnighter so when they get home ill put pictures on my blog.
