Halloween

 The annual pumpkin carving!

Costumes! Not sure what Brayden was some mix of monster/phantom/vampire. Brecken was a witch and Brailee was a princess but all she would put on was the dress with a bunch of stickers she got at the babysitters. This was Brailee real first year of understanding trick or treating and it was fun to watch her go up and say trick or treat although that was only temporary after a while she just walked up and practically walked in people's house to her herself some candy, she is no dummy.

Get Air

The kids went to a birthday party for some of their friends at a place I think was called "get air" and they had a ton of fun bouncing on huge trampolines and into foam squares.

Snow Day!

Thursday Oct. 25, 2012
This week I started training for the early shift for a couple weeks and everyone knows how much I HATE driving in the snow, well this particular day I had to be up to the school at 6 a.m. and I did it and the van drove very nicely although I guess the hill up to the school became more slippery and they had to close Weber canyon both ways and the buses could not get around to get all the children so right before 8 they decided to close school for the elementary kids, that would of been nice to know so I didn't have to get up at 5:15 a.m. but oh well I went home and the kids had lots of fun after Brayden came home from school (whom was very disappointed he had to go and Brecken didn't) they played all afternoon in the snow. I think we got about 9 inches that day it was crazy.

Grandma Larsen

This October has been a somber one, our beloved Grandma Larsen pasted away after having a massive stroke on Oct.1 It has been a sad but good experience. I will miss her terrible she was a good lady.  But I wouldn't trade the experience I had being with my family in the days before her burial I was able to visit with cousins I have not seen in many years, have many good spiritual talks with family members and grow closer to those I never had the opportunity to in the past.  It makes me sad that it takes death to bring families together sometimes.

Elk Hunt 2012

We had the oppertunity to go elk hunting this year for a couple of days and unfortunately Robert didn't get an elk but uncle Brandon did and we helped pull it out. It was fun to see what Brailee thought about that elk. She talked about it for days.
The kids made a tree hut.
We went up the 2nd weekend and this is what we woke up too on Saturday after sleeping with no heater all night long.

Brayden's Webloe

Brayden received his webloe award last week. He is almost a Boy Scout!

He is growing up too fast.
Brayden was so excited because he was chosen to be part of a flag retirement or "flag burning."
He thought that was pretty cool.
It was a first time for me to see a flag burning also it was kinda emotional, yet neat it sure makes you feel good to be part of a free country and im grateful to all those who serve my country to help keep me safe.

Thanksgiving point cont.

After the Dinosaur museum we went down and walked through part of the garden and let kids play in the mazes and in the water we had so much fun. Thanks Brandon and Rachel for a great time!

Brayden's Lamb (Fair)

Once again Brayden sold his lamb at the fair this year. He had a really good looking lamb we were sad to see it go.

Brayden bought himself a cowboy hat and he thought he was pretty cool. (He did look handsome it though, but im a little prejudice)

Brecken, Brailee, and Shiloh dressed up as fairies they were so cute!

Update on Brailee

I just wanted to give an update on Brailee and they arranged my app. so we could see the specialist today instead of Aug. 16th and the guy is real positive about the situation and we caught it early enough that it should be correctable and that there is nothing serious to worry about. So that makes me feel better and we have to get a new prescription in the left eye and then start from there on getting her to wear them, so that relieves me. Thanks everyone for all your prayers. July 31st

Update on the glasses.....ITS NOT HAPPENING!

This is going to be a very, very long process. We have had the glasses 2 days now and she will not put them on. Today Robert and I got them on and tried to get her to look at a book so I could take a pic. That's as long as they lasted, then they were off. And we will be down fixing them tomarrow she has already bent the one side ripping them off her head, so they are crooked.

Brayden and Brecken ridding on a float in the Morgan Parade Saturday, while Brailee and Shiloh we catching candy. I also ran my 1st Half Marathon Saturday morning and that was a experience all on it's own. I truely didn't believe I would make it but I did and I was so proud of myself. It took me 2 hours and 28 minutes to complete which is good for my first time I would say. Today (sunday) I can hardly move or walk, not sure WHY we torture ourselves.?

ok this pic is upside down sorry.

This is Brayden's back after he got home from a Father and Son's outing down by the river he has what I assume are a millon misquito bits all over his back and shoulders he says they itch like crazy, ive been putting benadryl on but they still itch. Poor kid.

That sum's up our weekend. Now we prepare for the fair this week and Brayden will be showing a lamb so it will be a fairly busy week ill post more next week.

Our Trip to Escalante

On our way!!!
We stopped at a little park to get out and stretch on our way down and they had all the good ole toy's we played on as kids, oh how I miss those days. I tried this one and got sick "real" quick. Im not as young as I once was.

Brayden was playing in a stream in capitol reef and heard a noise and looked down and saw this snake that had grabbed this frog and it was trying to eat it. I would say the frog is a little too big, but I guess the snake doesn't think so.

I have a hard time figuring out how to get more than one pic. on at a time so I have continued like four diffrent segments so look at the end of my blog where it says older post and keep looking threw to see more pic.

more vac pic.

Brayden trying out the pioneer plow. This pic below is a pic of a vine that was brought here to america years ago we thought it was a tree and the kids use to could climb and play on it but it has broken apart so they are trying to save it. It looks to have some new growth growing on it so they are trying to preserve it. My kids were bumbed they could climb all over it again.

Playing horseshoes and fishing again!

Escalante cont.

This is a rock on the trail up to calf creek falls.
Kids fishin with Grandpa.

Waterfall in Escalante park the kids loved to play in the water it wasn't very deep, unfortuantely we went after one of the rain storms and the water was a little swifter and not as fun but the kids's didn't mind.

Robert and Brandon trying to swim up into the fall's the current was so swift they couldn't make it into the center.
